We had our ultrasound this week and...
It's a boy!
Or, at least the doctor said he would be very, very surprised if it isn't. The baby, who we're tentatively calling Mirando* for the time being, was very shy about showing us his face and kept putting his hand over it every time we wanted him to look at us. He was not, however, shy about mooning us, since he showed his little bum every chance he got (just like his dad).
We're thrilled!
*I've offered the name Mirando to each of my friends who have been expecting baby boys over the years--I believe this started with Nicole when she was pregnant with Cooper. Since then, for reasons I will never understand, Aubrey, Amanda, Diania, Heather, Jill, Jamie, Katie and others have all turned it down. I'm assuming it's because it's such a fantastic, sophisticated name the parents are worried it places too much stress on the baby at the thought of having to live up to its greatness. Right?

A BOY! Yea for you! I am so happy for both you and Zack.
And I am so happy we have a name to refer to him.... with D we were just calling the baby anything we saw as we were discussing him" "Stop," "Soulvaki," "Casa," "Maverick," "UTA,"... well, you get the idea...

It was just such a special name that it had to be save in the hopes that one day this time would come for you to cherish it all to yourself! Boys rule!
Yeah!!! Oh my goodness I am so excited for you guys!! Boys are so much fun, I can't wait to meet him! You need to post some ultrasound pics!
For the record, I was pulling for it all along (boy or girl), and it was Mitch that turned it down.
A little baseball player in the making! I am still waiting to see pictures of my pregnant friend! It will be great that you might out weigh me for a change. ha ha.
Congratulations. That is so fun. You said that everyone else turned down Mirando...but how does Zach feel? I am sure he is thrilled.
